The Grady Jesters won 16 of 27 available Georgia slots to the Speech &
Debate Nationals! The Jesters rank in the top 5% of speech &
debate teams in the country. Grady is the only high school in
Georgia performing at this level.

We have the opportunity to send 16 talented students to the National
competitions in Albany, NY and Birmingham, Alabama. As a leader in
our community, you are invited to support this historic opportunity.
To enable all qualifying Grady students to compete, we need to raise
$8,000.

To raise the funds, the nonprofit Grady H.S. Forensics Booster Club will
host a Speech & Debate Showcase event on April 21, 2009,
dinner starting at 6pm, program at 7:30. Over 300 parents,
students and community leaders are expected to attend. The
award-winning Jesters will demonstrate various speech and debate
disciplines.

The Showcase will raise money through food sales and tickets ($8 donation
for adults, $5 for students and staff), but we are relying
on generous donations to see that these hard working, deserving
students get to represent the State of Georgia at the National Debate
tournaments.
