Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a restful break.  Just like last year, the Jesters were interviewed on CNN!  On January 1st, the CNN program “CNN Newsroom: Class in Session” host Tony Harris aired interviews with Grady students regarding the death of a Chicago high school student and the reasoning behind teenagers refusing to “snitch.” To see that video, simply click here. In these videos, you will see discussions with team members Maragh Girvan, Ngoc Vu and Cheyn Shah

Additionally, some students were interviewed for the “Anderson Cooper 360″ on CNN tomorrow, January 7th, during the show (probably around 10:30pm or later, but we have no control over that so be safe and watch the whole show!) .  While all of the following students were interviewed, we are sharing the spotlight with other students from Boston and Los Angeles, therefore making it impossible to know who will be showcased and who will not.  Student questions were taped for a feature story on controversial Chancellor Michelle Rhee of the Washington, D.C.  in regards to education in the United States.  We are very excited to once again be working with the wonderful people at CNN!

Students interviewed:  Michael Barlow, Holden Choi, Taylor Walker, Cole Bagley, Emily Atkinson, Ngoc Vu, Greyson Blake, Samantha Chiang and Lauren Alford.  GO JESTERS!!!
