N.B. - Grady will be on break from Mon., December 24 - Mon., January 7. We will have no access to mail during this time.

We’ve been pouring over applications for the past few days, and we have set a pool for the inaugural Knights of the Round Robin, held in conjunction with the Barkley Forum for HS at Emory University and Georgia State University. Okay, so the tournament was a while back… but still… here is how we fared!

Lincoln-Douglas Debate-

Jordon Wofford, Co-Champion and Tyler Olson, Semi-Finalist

Original Oratory-

Scott Bremer, 2nd place and Elliott Erickson, 4th place

Dramatic Interp-

Hannah Mitchell, 2nd place and Laura King, 4th place

Extemporaneous Speaking-

Mike Robinson, 1st place; Scott Bremer, 2nd place; Emily Atkinson, 4th place

Duo Interp-

Laura Alexander and Abby Deel, 1st place; Claire Wilson and Ana Cunningham, 3rd place

If you don’t already know Grady is hosting a practice/tutorial session on Saturday November 3, 2007. Grady students are required to help with our “potluck” meals. Bring dishes that can feed 10-15 mouths please.

NOTE: Parents will be needed for judging, judge training, and supervision of students.

All Debate Team Officers and members are asked to plan to be at Grady High School Saturday December 8, 2007 to help clean and beautify our Squad Room. More details as the event gets closer.
