Since the last update, we’ve gotten a few questions:
1) How do I pay? - You can pay two ways: directly online at http://gradyspeaks.org/roundrobin/pay, or by making a check out to Mario Herrera, Henry W. Grady Speech and Debate.
If you are hiring a judge, the fee is $100. Partial judges are $50.
2) What is this about cars? - This is important. Atlanta has a ton of traffic. Just remember that. Otherwise, there is no “no-car” rule. Since we’re having the tournament at one location and the awards at Emory’s dinner on the 24th, you’ll need one.
3) Since the RR is small for PF, how does that work? - Each PF team will debate both sides of the resolution in a round-robin format. Each team will see each other twice, once on one side and the second time on the other. We had a full pool, then drops came around to bring us back to square one. From now on, this will be a Georgia RR with one out of state guest in PF.
4) Awards are at Emory, included as part of the BFHS dinner the night before the tournament. You will be around Emory debaters, and competitors at the Pace RR (Policy). It’s a pretty nice dinner, and includes the Georgia Speaker of the Year (a surprise).
Location update: The first night of the RR is going to be held at Grady High School.
We accepted the second wave applicants to the Round Robin over the break. The rounds have been set, and we’re ready!

Due to drops in both divisions, we are taking more applications for the Round Robin. If you have submitted an application by mail, please email Brandon Sheats at roundrobin [at] gradyspeaks.org.
N.B. - Grady will be on break from Mon., December 24 - Mon., January 7. We will have no access to mail during this time.
We’ve been pouring over applications for the past few days, and we have set a pool for the inaugural Knights of the Round Robin, held in conjunction with the Barkley Forum for HS at Emory University and Georgia State University. We want to thank the two teams for their support (and hotel rooms). We look forward to seeing these talented debaters in January! The list continues after the link.
